Itinerary
Day 1: Entebbe – Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania
Arrival in Tanzania & Dar es Salaam Experience
Your adventure begins in Uganda with a scheduled flight from Entebbe International Airport to Dar es Salaam.
Upon arrival, you will be met by the William Safaris and Tours representative and transferred to your hotel.
Depending on your arrival time, you may have an opportunity to experience some of Dar es Salaam’s coastal atmosphere, visit a local market or simply relax at the hotel after your journey.
Dar es Salaam is Tanzania’s major coastal gateway and provides the perfect starting point for an adventure combining wildlife and the Indian Ocean.

Day 2: Dar Es Salaam – Nyerere National Park
Journey Into the Wild
After breakfast, depart Dar es Salaam and travel towards Nyerere National Park.
The journey takes you away from the busy coastal city and into Tanzania’s spectacular wilderness.
Upon arrival, check in at your lodge or safari camp and have lunch before embarking on your first safari experience.
Enjoy an afternoon game drive through the park, keeping your eyes open for elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, hippos, crocodiles and other wildlife.
As the sun begins to set over the African wilderness, return to your lodge for dinner and an evening around the camp.

Day 3: Full-Day Safari & Boat Experience – Nyerere National Park
Wildlife, Rivers & African Wilderness
Wake up to the sounds of the African bush and enjoy breakfast before setting out for a full day of exploration.
Your safari experience will include a game drive through Nyerere National Park, where you may encounter some of Tanzania’s iconic wildlife.
The day can also include a boat safari along the Rufiji River, providing a completely different perspective of the park.
From the water, look out for hippos and crocodiles along the riverbanks while watching birds and wildlife coming to the water.
The combination of a traditional game drive and boat safari makes this one of the most memorable days of the journey.
Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and relaxation.

Day 4: Nyerere National Park – Dar Es Salaam – Bagamoyo
From the Wilderness to the Swahili Coast
After breakfast, depart Nyerere National Park and travel back towards Tanzania’s coast.
Continue north towards Bagamoyo, a historic coastal town approximately 75 km north of Dar es Salaam.
Bagamoyo has played an important role in East African coastal history and was influenced by Swahili, Arab, German and missionary communities.
Enjoy a guided cultural and historical experience visiting selected attractions such as:
- Bagamoyo Old Town
- Kaole Ruins
- Old German Boma
- Historic coastal buildings
- Local markets and craft centres
- Bagamoyo’s historic waterfront
Day 5: Bagamoyo – Dar Es Salaam – Zanzibar
Cruise Across the Indian Ocean
After breakfast, depart Bagamoyo and transfer to Dar es Salaam for your journey to Zanzibar.
Board the scheduled ferry/boat from Dar es Salaam and enjoy the journey across the Indian Ocean towards Zanzibar Island.
Upon arrival in Zanzibar, you will be met and transferred to your accommodation.
Depending on your arrival time, enjoy an introductory walk around Stone Town or relax at your hotel.
The evening is yours to experience Zanzibar’s unique atmosphere, from its narrow historic streets to its coastal restaurants and vibrant local life.

Day 6: Zanzibar Island Experience
Stone Town, Spices & Tropical Beaches
After breakfast, spend the day discovering the beauty and culture of Zanzibar.
Begin with a guided exploration of Stone Town, Zanzibar’s historic heart. Walk through its narrow streets and discover the island’s rich Swahili, Arab, Indian and European influences.
Depending on the selected package, the day can include a spice tour, where you learn about Zanzibar’s famous cloves, cinnamon, vanilla and other tropical spices.
Later, travel towards the beach and enjoy time beside the Indian Ocean.

Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some free time for shopping, relaxing or enjoying the beach before transferring to the airport or ferry terminal.
Travel back to Dar es Salaam and connect with your flight to Entebbe, Uganda.
Arrive in Uganda with unforgettable memories of Tanzania’s wildlife, historic coast and tropical islands.
